Something’s been showing up a lot recently and I want to shed light on it, because I think it could be helpful for you.

It seems like literally everyone’s feeling overcommitted and overwhelmed lately.

Too many deadlines approaching. Too many social obligations. There's just too much to do.

And I’ve noticed that almost everyone’s feeling stressed, behind and anxious about it all.

You could say it’s just this time of year, but in my experience, that’s not the full story.

To start, there’s still two full months left in 2022 - over 60 days left. Hardly a sprint to the finish.

So, if it's not the end-of-year-crunch, what is it?

We think we’re too busy to prioritize.

And when you don’t know what your priorities are, everything feels like a priority.

So you end up running around, giving every item on your to-do list equal weight, as if replying to IG comments was as important as that one task that'll quantum leap you to the next level.

So what should you do instead?

Cut the fat.

There are only a small number of actions that will create the biggest results.

Everything else is weighing you down.

By focusing only on the FEW things that are the biggest steps towards your goal, you get better results and actually feel accomplished.

Here’s how to focus on what really matters until the end of the year:

  1. Sit down with a pen and paper and write down your biggest goals you want to achieve before the end of the year. Pick no more than three.

  2. Write down the biggest needle-mover tasks that you can do each week to get you closer to reaching each of those goals. These are your new priorities.

  3. Now the hardest but most important part: Cancel any to-do list items that will get in the way of these new priorities.

  4. Finally, slot your new priorities into your calendar to ensure you’re creating the necessary space to work on these biggest tasks.
