The c_____ that changed my life 🚢🌊

There I was, doing something I never thought I’d do.

I was boarding a cruise ship.

An entire weekend at sea.

Alone. With 5,000 strangers.

And I was already upset.

It was an invite-only conference for young leaders (called Summit at Sea).

I was hoping to make meaningful connections and up-level my business.

It cost me $5,000 to attend.

At the time, I had never invested anything close to that amount for my business.

I hadn’t spend anything close to that on ANYTHING for myself.

And it was way more than I was making in a month.

The $5K price could have been $50K and I’d have felt just as financially irresponsible and scared.

But for whatever reason, I had taken the leap anyway, bought a ticket, and now I was standing in line with 5,000 other people to embark.

And I was already regretting the decision.

I’m not even sure why, but I’ve always had a distaste for cruises. They’re claustrophobic to me.

I’m also uncomfortable in big groups of people. And I don’t like talking about myself.

But here I was, $5K down the drain and about to get locked up in a constantly swaying pinball machine of personalities, business cards and buffet lines.

And then the guy next to me introduced himself. His name was Johnny.

We immediately clicked. Fast-friends.

He introduced me to a few people who seemed impressed in what I was up to and wanted to introduce me to their friends. Suddenly I wasn’t alone anymore.

That cruise weekend ended up being a blast.

I might have made more meaningful connections in that one weekend than any other weekend in my life.

Multiple people I met there have become business partners, confidants and advisors. I’ve been to their weddings. They’ve thrown surprise birthdays parties for me.

But this story is about Johnny.

Johnny and I ended up road tripping to Sedona together. Just two dudes on the road with big dreams.

And he gave me information that would forever change my life:

He introduced me to cryptocurrency and showed me how to buy some. (He was an early investor)

This was back in 2016 when Ethereum was $7 (it’s like 450x that now).

Cut to a year later, that one small investment was worth over $200,000.

Nobody knows this, but because of that one profitable investment, I was able to leave my day job and focus on Brick full-time.

It kept me afloat for 2.5 YEARS until Brick became profitable.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because what if I HADN’T bought that cruise ticket where Johnny introduced himself to me?

What if instead I had done the more "responsible" thing and saved the $5,000?

It would probably be worth about $10,000 today, at most.

But that one introduction = hundreds of thousands of dollars (and counting)

If I hadn’t put myself in a situation where that friendship could happen, I wouldn’t have had $200K to bootstrap Brick.

Brick would not exist today if I hadn’t gone on that cruise and met Johnny.

Today I wouldn’t be helping so many leaders as their coach, helping them maximize their productive time and break through the inner obstacles that have been holding them back.

And I get paid well too. I made multiple 6-figures last year.

I have the freedom to run my own business with my own rules. And that’s worth way more than money.

So my question for you is, what’s true the cost of not investing in yourself?

It could be $200,000. It could be more. It could be costing you your freedom.

So if you’re feeling like you can’t afford to do something that could quantum leap your life, the truth is…

Maybe you can’t afford NOT to do it.

It can create value that pays dividends for a long time.

But they only happen if you put yourself in situations where they can happen.

Because your Johnny is out there, ready and waiting to take YOUR life to the next level.

Taking the leap, even when financially uncertain, might be best thing you ever do for yourself.

It was for me.

If you’re ready to take the leap in person with ME and maximize YOUR potential as a leader, we still have some spots left for our Zion Leadership Retreat in March 24-27th.

If you’re called to join us, I strongly encourage you to reply to this email and let me know you want to attend.

I don’t know when that quantum leap will happen for you, but I am confident that it will.

Because it’s happened for so many others who have been to our retreats and had huge breakthroughs in their life and business.

You’ll get what you’re looking for and much more.

The trip is going to be amazing. We’re taking over an entire 30-acre glamping village for ourselves in the middle of Zion National Park, with luxurious bedding nicer than most Airbnbs.

We’re going to put away our phones for 4 days and go rock climbing down waterfalls, explore Zion’s world-famous slot canyons, workshop your biggest inner and outer challenges, eat 5-star meals from chefs flying in just for us, hang out under the stars, hike, meditate, and create a life for you that is your highest calling.

And you’ll come away with lifelong friends rooting for you and that you can rely on to get you there.

The trip costs $5K, which just so happens to be the same price I paid for that cruise.

But if you apply before the end of January, you get an insane early bird special, so it only costs $3,500.

If you’re interested in one of the remaining spots, jus apply here now.

It might be the most profitable decision you’ll ever make.

With focus,

Tommy "You can’t afford NOT to take risks" Sobel

P.S. We’re having a live Q&A about the Zion Retreat next week with me and our incredible Zion Retreat guide. You’ll also get to meet other attendees. Also, thanks to our friends at Necessaire, 10 people will win free clean body wash, which is my fav.
