Is It Safe to Attend a Retreat During a Pandemic? 🛫🏝
This March I faced my Covid-anxiety and flew to Tulum, Mexico for 8 days for a self-development retreat with one of my mentors, Miro Heyink.
It proved to be the most transformational and game-changing week of my year.
I had been building my coaching business alone throughout the pandemic, an isolated life of Zoom and phone calls.
Never before had I spent 24/7 for an entire week surrounded by people just like me.
Together we had the time to go super deep into our vision and the fears that have been holding us back.
Not to mention private trips to secret cenotes, snorkeling with sea turtles, incredible culinary experiences and time to simply slow down.
I laughed, I cried, and I came away knowing EXACTLY what my next steps were for my dream life, with a group of high-achievers who I knew would be rooting for me for the rest of my life.
And at the end of the trip, the precautionary measures worked and we all flew home safely, renewed and whole.
After having put our Brick retreats on hold for over a year, this gave me all the confidence I needed to start them back up again.
There are definitely risks associated with attending in-person retreats these days.
But looking back on it 6 months later, I'm still healthy, my clients are getting better results than ever, and my business is growing faster than ever (this will be a $50K+ month!) while I take afternoons off to surf. 🏄♂️
I don’t even want to know where my business, my cash flow and my stress level would be today if I'd listened to my fears, "played it safe,” and hadn’t gone on that retreat.
If you're like me and you've been overworked and in need of a reset button, I invite you to ask your higher self which risks are worth taking for YOU.
PS. If you’re feeling spontaneous, we just had 2 spots open up last-min for our Guatemala Leadership Retreat, coming up on October 3-10th!
Send me an email HERE with the word "RETREAT" if you're curious to see how it could be possible for you to join our 18 other amazing leaders. Maybe it's exactly what you've been looking for.
With focus,
Tommy
